How to Cook 🍳
In a large saute pan over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of oil.
Add the onions and cook over medium-high heat, stirring, until caramelized.
Add the vinegar and honey, season with salt and turn the heat to medium. Allow to cook over medium heat until jammy.
In another large saute pan, the butter over medium heat. Add buns and toast until GBD. Remove the buns from the pan and set onto a plate.
Wipe the pan clean, place on the stove over medium high heat, and add the remaining oil to the pan.
When the oil begins to smoke, season the burger patties with Sweet & Smoky BBQ Rub and add them to the pan. Continue to cook over medium-high heat, flipping every minute, until medium rare, about 5-7 minutes.
Top the patties with the cheese, turn the heat to medium, and cover.
Allow the burgers to cook, covered, until the cheese has melted, about 30 seconds.
Remove the lid and transfer the patties to the toasted buns.
Remove the steak fries from the oven, ensuring that they are crispy and delicious.
Build the burger, add the caramelized onions over the top, cover with your favorite BBQ sauce and devour, alongside your crispy BBQ fries!
