Directions
Prep 🥒
Wash and dry the apples, then push a wooden skewer into the top of each one.
How to Cook 🍳
Unwrap the caramel candies and melt them with 2 tablespoons of water in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for about 2 minutes, stirring halfway.
Hold each apple by the stick and dip into the melted caramel, letting excess drip off. Place on parchment paper to cool.
Pumpkin Design: While the caramel is still sticky, roll the apple in orange sugar sprinkles.
Stick a pretzel stick on top as the pumpkin stem.
Add candy eyes and use melted chocolate (pipable in a Ziploc bag with a small corner cut off) to draw silly faces.
Mummy Design: Melt white chocolate and drizzle it over the caramel apple in thin, criss-cross lines for the mummy wrap.
Stick on candy eyes before the chocolate hardens.
Witch Design: Melt semi-sweet chocolate and dip the top of the apple to make a “witch hat.”
Color the rest of the chocolate green, dip the rest of the apple, and let it harden.
Use black licorice for hair and candy eyes. Draw a spooky smile with piped chocolate.
